After breakfast at the Nordica in Reykjavik, we packed up and boarded the bus for a tour of what is the most common tourist route, known as the "Golden Circle". The highlights of this were Ŝingvellir (Thingvellir), the Geysir geothermal area, and the huge Gullfoss waterfall. The day ended with our arrival at our hotel for the rest of the trip, the Hotel Rángá.

Our next stop on this wonderful, sunny day was the famous Geysir (pronounced "Gay-Seer") area. From there we went on to the huge waterfall, Gullfoss.

Before arriving at the Hotel Rángá for the night, we stopped at Skálholt. This was the site of Iceland's first Christian bishopric. It was an interesting historical site but I did not take any photos at Skálholt.
